“You don’t need to give reasons for the things you do - you just have to do what you want. And sometimes the thing that seems messed up to everyone else is what’s right for you. You have to do it and not be ashamed for it.”—Kristen Stewart (via krisisthebest)
Heidi Montag Reveals Plastic Surgery Scars: Bald Spots, Uneven Boobs, Lumpy Legs (PHOTOS)
The idea of knives and needles going through my body already makes me cringe. Overcoming a threshold that separates you from not changing your body and finally changing your body sets the stage for more things to come. Who is it to say that you won’t do more?
Look at Heidi: one breast augmentation meant more breast augmentations in addition to more surgery. Look at Megan Fox and Lindsay Lohan: one tattoo meant more tattoos. And Lindsay again: one encounter with alcohol and drugs meant more encounters with alcohol and drugs. Look at Portia de Rossi: one pound lost meant more pounds lost.
The same can be said for people in crime and other aspects of life. These need to be caught. They need to step away for a minute. They need to look at the bigger picture, or from another person’s perspective, to realize what they’ve been doing to themselves and others.
It’s great when they finally realize that enough is enough. That too much is more than too much. I applaud Heidi for realizing that the idea of perfection is fleeting. In theory, it means everything. Once the flaws are apparently erased, you realize that who you once were had been perfect all along.
